Judas betrayed, and thus in repentance he died. Was it suicide? or murder. Either way the Disciple died. He lay on what is referred to now as the "field of blood" with his abdomen slit open. His guts were upon the ground. There was one near who saw perhaps his redemption in this.

   There is an old tale that we came not of our own curse, but yet again from the curse of Caine. This it has been found is partially true. Before Judas died one did come and pour his blood into Judas. This one made a pact with Lucifer to bring forth a new breed. A new era. Caine he is said to be. Caine saw a path to his redemption in Judas. He made a pact with Lucifer who is said to have beleived to think he was tricking Caine. Caine poured his blood into the grieveious wounds of Judas, and into his mouth. In this act Lucifer saw the curse of God that Caine suffered and he wrought one in its image upon Judas. Caines blood was the key to bringing forth a new brood. Caine saw his redemption. Caine failed to see the anger.

   Judas was angry at living a cursed life. Cursed of Lucifer none the less. The stories say it was long before he convinced Judas to listen to him. It was long before Judas heard. Judas did not feel he himself could do what cain asked. So he begat another to do it. This one, the first, refused. So he begat another. This one also refused. The tales continue that he finally begat a seventh and final childe. A childe he named after one of gods greatest destruction of mankind, and possibly a corrupt city of cainites. Jericho. It was Jericho who heard. Jericho was a lover of peace, and a lover of man. It is said that Jericho himself is one of the greatest influences of the Iscariot family. Jericho did not understand his heritage. He knew not of his creator, he knew only of his mentor who's name he never learned. Jericho's mentor finally left him, and Jericho was lonely. So Jericho begat. He begat of love, he begat a peaceful brood who unknowingly did as Caine had wished. It is Jericho's love who is our founder, our mother. It is she we love, and she who loves us. Jericho himself left finally, perhaps having too much of his unnamed tutor within him. Perhaps it was the anger and violence that somehow permeated into his brood. This was later put to a hault by our Queen.

   The Iscariots alone have the power to re-embrace Kindred through their ritual of Remission. They frown upon Violence, it is said that in the Queens presence no violence is ever allowed to be commited. No weapon ever drawn. It is the Queen who binds us all together. All Iscariots can trace their blood to this one. Mother to many, she has prospered among those of the Jyhad, binding them together. She alone makes peace to all clans, and offers friendship to all.

   It is said that a fallen angel will always protect the Iscariots as the venture towards their secret goal. Is this gods blessing? Or an inviolate act of their own? Either way the Iscariots have emerged from their hiding and have begun to work towards the finallity of a promise made.
